Hi! My name is Heidi. I work for Americorps, volunteer for a couple of groups, and I’m trying to teach myself Spanish (among other things). Americorps members are called “volunteers” for a reason—we make very little money. So, with limited resources, I try to live as green as I can.

This blog is a chronicle of what I have learned along the way. I keep up with all of the environmental news, but it is often overwhelming. I want to keep this simple—this isn’t about the politics or the awesome new “green” crap that you should buy. This is a DIY school of environmentalism; it fits the poor, overworked, do-gooder lifestyle.
