Today is winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. Darkness will fall early this evening, and tomorrow the light will start to creep back a little at a time. I love this day. It’s a perfect time to enjoy the darkness and the stillness that comes with it, and it’s a welcome excuse to do nothing but curl up with a warm beverage and some good company. In the middle of the holiday insanity, it’s a gentle reminder from the planet to just calm down for a moment. I hope you can all take advantage of it!
